seems to me also, that the jw religion, while condemning fornication generally, sets greater store on females remaining intacto, as opposed to males, what with references to "old towels that any man can wipe his hands on" and the like.

In my case I would say. Whats worse to dissapoint ? Or to be Dissapointed ?........I have hurt so many family members with the rejection of birthdays and christmas( I was not born a Witness) ..but most of the hurt has been the arrogence of being so superior .Yet I was never rejected by my family...Now I have my family back. I was the prodigal son that came in to a cult and Judged my family..
However I feal real love for my former friends of this cult they ARE victims of the W:T regime, even if they ignor me.
i am a pretty liberal dad.
i talk to my kids alot and openly about everything from sex to drugs .
i always try to give them options and let them make their own decisions .

The" SEX PISTALS" were every mothers nightmare (in England) when I was a kid the music was In there opinion "Negative, Destructive and Damaging" To the growth of there kids.
My advice Is not to trush the music. Share the music with Your music. Good music survives the Generation Barriers. When I Introuduce my child to the "WHO" " The Stones" or "Guns & Roses" " Bowie"ect ect we will have great fun .(It was trashed by my parents but now they love It and my dad is 73. we all know the big problems with the wts, but what was the first thing that made you realise there were problems with the organisation ?
with me it was realitivly small stuff like an 8 year old getting baptised and a comment my best mates made about another of our friends asking if we should be hanging round with her as she might be bad assciation (she had just been reproved, but they had been mates 20 years).. .
how ever the first time i ever thought something was really wrong was when i was about 11 and my grand farther died, and mu mum wouldn't go to the funeral, i remeber thinking that surely it was better to say good bye properly than worry about if the service was in a church.. .

Anyway what I belive from Genesis Is God created the light from the darkness.(But with photography Light and Darkness are not conpatible and cant co-exist.) I do not belive the darkness exists. I belive the darkness is the wrong thinking of people.It doesnt exist. That Is why I now have no fear of the Watchtower Organisation its message or Its members.I mean living for ever on a paradise earth used to exist to me. Armaggedon used to exist to me but it doesnt exist any-more. It was only darkness presented as light.
The elders would love to dissfelowship me. I havnt been to a meeting in years.They no I associate with disfellowshipped people I think they know I smoke?So much more to. But when they came to see me I said "come In lets sit down" mentiond some stuff about an elder lying in court as a witness on child-molesting case and the suicide of a brother on what I belived was fear of there judical meeting and said now before I go further Iam calling the police here. In short they made there excuses and left. Sadly that brother who committed suicide would be here today(In my opinion) if the fear of a judical committe didnt exist. That darkness and fear really only existed in his mind. The elders are living in darkness a world that only exists in there imagination and are afraid of the light that God created.

As to Jontys question..when I was on microphone duty I did sometimes see the sisters tits..Okay I never went home and lifted my own Mike to thank Jehovahs earthly organisation..but in all truth it was a reason why I liked the privalige of being on the microphone.(18-30 Holidays were not in a Witnesses vocab so I guess such petty things are and were a big deal)

because of some law to do with registered charities and solicited contributions, the wts in britain were forced to make all of their publications (including videos and cassettes) available at no cost.

i took my boots off and had no socks on............i never heard the end of it .. also i must confess i recently celebrated my wifes birthday !!.
